About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Indirect Tax Analyst to join our finance team within a fast-paced pharmaceutical environment. This is a 6-month contract role supporting indirect tax compliance and reporting across the EMEA region.
The successful candidate will work closely with finance, accounting, and external advisors to ensure accurate VAT/GST reporting and compliance. This position is fully remote and requires someone who can start immediately.

Key Responsibilities

- Support indirect tax compliance and reporting across multiple jurisdictions in the EMEA region.
- Prepare and review VAT returns, EC Sales Lists, and Intrastat filings where applicable.
- Assist with VAT reconciliations and ensure accuracy between tax filings and financial records.
- Work closely with internal finance teams to ensure correct VAT treatment of transactions.
- Identify and manage indirect tax risks and compliance issues.
- Support tax audits and information requests from tax authorities when required.
- Maintain accurate documentation of tax processes and controls.
- Utilize SAP to extract financial data and support tax reporting processes.
Key Requirements
- 2–3 years’ experience in indirect tax, preferably covering EMEA jurisdictions.
- Experience preparing or supporting VAT returns and indirect tax compliance.
- Strong SAP experience (essential), including data extraction and reporting.
- Experience working with cross-border transactions within EMEA.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with international teams.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within the pharmaceutical, life sciences, or healthcare sector.
- Exposure to Intrastat and EC Sales List reporting.
- Accounting, tax, or finance qualification (or working towards one).
