Assembly Technician

We are looking for a highly motivated Assembly Technician to join our team. This role plays a key part in supporting the build, servicing and reliability of high-performance Formula One car sub-assemblies and pit stop equipment. Working within the Car Assembly department, you will collaborate closely with the Race Team, Production, and Quality teams to ensure all components meet exacting standards and are delivered on time for race events.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, service and maintain car-related sub-assemblies to specification.
- Maintain accurate service and build records for all assemblies.
- Identify and report faults or reliability concerns through the correct channels.
- Carry out maintenance of rigs, tooling and test equipment used during servicing and testing.
- Support development and test programmes, including initial car builds.
- Build and maintain pit stop equipment and workshop tooling.
- Provide end-to-end support to the Race Team, ensuring assemblies are available on time and to design intent.
- Assist with the training and development of new team members.
- Support other departments where required to meet race event deadlines.
- Work in line with company processes, reporting structures, and Health & Safety standards.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Experience working as a mechanic or technician in Formula One or elite motorsport environments (or similar high-performance engineering sector).
- Proven experience building and servicing motorsport or high-performance mechanical assemblies.
- Ability to interpret assembly drawings and build procedures.
- Experience working with hydraulics and dampers is advantageous.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure and deliver within strict deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an analytical and methodical approach.
- Team-focused attitude with the ability to build strong working relationships.
