The internal communications team actively drives organisational culture change and strengthens employee engagement. We manage communications programmes that align leadership behaviours, employee voice and organisational values to create a motivated, high-performing workforce. The team plays a pivotal part in embedding equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) into communications and culture, ensuring staff at all levels see themselves represented and valued in an actively anti-racist organisation.

As the Internal Communications and Events Coordinator you will support the delivery of clear, engaging and inclusive internal communications and staff events across the NMC. This will include in person events from informal Equity, Inclusion and Diversity sessions to high profile leadership meetings.
 
You will focus on producing and publishing content for internal channels such as our intranet, supporting the planning and delivery of staff events and conferences (in person and online), undertaking administrative actions as required and ensuring colleagues are informed, connected and engaged with organisational priorities.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple communications and event tasks simultaneously.
  • Good writing and editing skills, able to adapt content for internal audiences and formats.
  • Familiarity with digital communication platforms (e.g. intranet CMS, Yammer/Teams, email platforms) and event management tools.

Experience:
  • Experience of supporting communications and/or event planning in a complex organisation.
  • Experience of coordinating logistics, suppliers and budgets for events.
  • Experience of monitoring communications or event outcomes and providing feedback for improvement.
