Thompsons Solicitors, the UK’s leading social justice law firm, is searching for a proactive, people-focused HR Administrator to join our Birmingham team on a 9 month fixed term contract. We would also be open to part time applications (minimum 3 days per week).

What you will be doing...
You’ll be at the heart of our HR team, providing high quality administrative support and helping ensure our people processes run smoothly. Expect to make a real impact by:
• Acting as a first point of contact for HR queries, providing timely and professional support to colleagues
• Managing the HR inbox and ensuring queries are responded to efficiently
• Preparing employment documentation such as contracts, letters and HR correspondence
• Maintaining accurate employee records and supporting general HR administration
• Assisting with onboarding processes for new starters and supporting the employee lifecycle
• Providing administrative support to the wider HR team, including Talent Acquisition and Payroll
• Helping to keep HR processes organised, efficient and well documented
This role plays an important part in keeping the HR team organised and ensuring colleagues across the firm receive consistent and reliable support.

• Organised, enthusiastic, and confident juggling multiple priorities
• Experienced in HR admin or recruitment admin within a busy environment
• Skilled in written communication, with strong IT ability (especially Microsoft Office and Excel)
• Comfortable handling confidential information with professionalism and discretion
• Keen to learn, grow, and develop your HR knowledge
• Familiar with HR systems such as iTrent or People First (desirable, not essential)
• Working towards or interested in a qualification like CIPD Level 3 (also desirable)
