This proprietary infrastructure fuels our business and allows us to provide the most effective risk management capabilities in the power and environmental sectors today.

Nodal seeks talented and motivated applicants to support both Nodal Exchange and Nodal Clear for the following role in the DC Metro Area.

Key Responsibilities

Senior Associate, Market Operations & Customer Service
The Senior Associate will be responsible for:
  • Monitoring live operational production environment with exceptional attention to detail
  • Assisting in the onboarding process of trading participants and clearing members
  • Providing real-time market surveillance, monitoring all trades that come into the exchange
  • Actively teaching and troubleshooting our operational processes and interfaces to our clients and partners
  • Working closely with clients and partners to support new products and functionalities
  • Becoming a subject matter expert to effectively improve and inform our platform
  • Supporting daily, weekly, and monthly operational tasks
  • Answering incoming calls and emails, interacting professionally with clients and partners
  • Helping our business grow by being a passionate and engaged financial operations specialist who works with our clients reach better outcomes
  • Learning and engaging in the latest technology that is crucial to support Nodal   as a fully electronic organized marketplace
  • Exhibiting a commitment to process and documentation, and contributing to both
  • Training and mentoring newer team members
  • Taking part in a shift rotation with other members of the team, which requires some early morning and some late evening coverage. Most daily operations take place between 9am-6pm, but the team provides earlier and later coverage through rotating shifts.  As part of the shift work, occasional on-call coverage is required.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, in Business Administration or a STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math) discipline preferred
  • 2-5 years of experience in customer-facing role, ideally in financial services
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Strong real-time problem-solving skills to diagnose and triage time-sensitive technical and non-technical issues
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite

Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 per year base salary, when annualized

Pay Transparency Notice: The salary range is based on the D.C. metro area, the successful candidate’s starting salary will vary depending on permissible, non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to qualifications, skills, and experience. Nodal also offers a wide range of benefits and perks for full-time employees, which may include target bonuses.
