The role
We’re looking for a Senior Client Accounting Administrator who demonstrates our core values and wants to build a rewarding career. The role will be responsible for routine bookkeeping and preparation of client financial statements for a portfolio of trust and company clients.
The responsibilities
You’ll be working in a friendly and progressive environment as a member of the team to undertake a broad range of duties including:
- assisting in the preparation of trust and company financial statements in accordance with UK and international accounting standards
- working in accordance with all company policies, procedures, processes, best practice and compliance requirements
- assisting with the preparation and updating of the annual accounts preparation workplan
- assisting bookkeepers with client bookkeeping when required, such as providing cover during staff holidays
- assisting the Client Accounting Manager with the testing and implementation of change initiatives
- working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure first class delivery of professional and efficient service to clients
- maintaining communication with senior colleagues to ensure workloads are appropriately managed and deadlines met
- completing all documentation under the PlainSail timekeeping system
- assisting the administration teams with accounting related queries
- completing any other relevant duties as requested by your manager
You
- a sound understanding of tasks covering a range of activities using multiple methods, techniques and processes
- may have attained, or be working towards completion of, ACA or ACCA (or equivalent) along with meeting your CPD requirements
- effective communication skills and the ability to converse with a range of people, adapting style with ease to suit the audience and situation
- ability to identify and resolve non-complex issues, with support and direction
- ability to prioritise and complete tasks to achieve deadlines, with support and direction
- ability to work to specified standards and service levels and propose solutions to resolve straight forward daily problems
- evidence a positive and committed approach to teamwork and understand the importance of working together to provide excellent client service
