Internship £0 - £2,000 / year

Job Overview

Heading to university this September? How does an extra £2,000 per year to help cover your fees sound?

This year, our University Grant Scheme is open to a broader range of subjects. If your degree relates to careers at Jersey Water, from engineering and sciences to Customer Services, Communications, Finance, HR, IT and Health & Safety, we want to hear from you.

Each year,  we choose one successful applicant to receive funding towards the annual costs of their university course. As well as providing financial support, we also offer paid work experience during the holidays.

Suitable courses

Funding is open to Jersey residents who are enrolled on a first-degree course (BSc, BEng, or BA) at a university, college or similar institution to study a subject relevant to careers at Jersey Water.

Relevant subjects may include:
  • Water Engineering (mechanical, electrical, etc.)
  • Water resources, management and conservation
  • Environmental sciences
  • Chemistry
  • Customer Services
  • Communications
  • Finance
  • Human Resources
  • IT
  • Health & Safety
If you are not sure if your degree meets the criteria, contact us before applying.

To fit our application criteria, you will need to have been:
  • resident in Jersey for the past five years and not left the Island for longer than 12 months in those five years, including any time spent in full-time education
  • accepted, either firmly or conditionally, by a university or equivalent, for a full-time, first-degree course and received, or are expected to receive, any minimum entry requirements
We will not consider applications if you:
  • have already started an undergraduate degree course
