Job Overview


As a Civil Team Lead, you are responsible for overseeing the structural integrity and technical maintenance of the property to ensure it consistently meets the prestigious Kempinski Standard of excellence. You will manage a team of engineers and technicians to plan and execute civil works, ensuring all building structures and infrastructure align with legal guidelines, health and safety requirements, and the Kempinski brand expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Supervision: Plan, organize, and direct the daily work of engineers and technicians in field repairs, painting, carpentry, and masonry.
  • Staff Development: Select, train, and evaluate the performance of assigned staff to ensure high-level technical execution.
  • Strategic Planning: Participate in formulating long-range engineering goals and asset preservation strategies.
  • Technology Integration: Adapt and implement new maintenance technologies and sustainable materials to existing facilities.
  • Preventive Maintenance (PPM): Execute planned preventive maintenance for all guest rooms, public areas, and building infrastructure.
  • Engineering Governance: Prepare, review, and approve engineering plans, technical designs, specifications, and project proposals.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects strictly adhere to legal guidelines, industry codes, safety requirements, environmental and Kempinski standards.
  • Project Management: Oversee construction and maintenance schedules, managing budgets, resources, and contractor coordination.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct site inspections, monitor project progress, and resolve complex design or development problems.
  • Technical Support: Provide expert technical advice to team members and prepare comprehensive reports and documentation

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years in civil engineering with a track record of leading engineering teams.
  • Customer focused and people oriented
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team of multi-skilled technicians
  • Good organizational work planning and reporting skills
  • Good basic computer skills in software office (word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Excellent oral and written skills
