ABOUT THIS ROLE
Fulwell Entertainment is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Manager, Finance to join our Finance team. Reporting directly to the SVP, Finance, this pivotal role bridges the gap between technical corporate accounting and the fast-paced world of production finance.
The ideal candidate is a CPA with a deep mastery of US GAAP (specifically ASC 926 and 606), possessing the organizational prowess to manage complex global consolidations and the communication skills to partner with operational and production stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Reporting: Lead the recording and amortization of production costs in accordance with ASC 926; perform ASC 606 analysis on all new contracts to ensure precise revenue recognition.
  • Production Partnership: Act as the primary liaison to Production Finance, reconciling show-level cost reports to the General Ledger and ensuring accurate capitalization of production spend.
  • Financial Operations: Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, along with detailed monthly project profitability reporting.
  • Audit & Compliance: Take ownership of the Company’s annual audit, serving as the lead point of contact for independent auditors; maintain and evolve internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Global Collaboration: Serve as a key point of contact for the UK Finance Team, managing cross-border transactions, intercompany reconciliations, and foreign currency nuances.
  • Budgeting: Partner with department heads on monthly budget tracking and variance analysis to provide actionable financial insights to leadership.
  • Tax & Ad-Hoc Support: Support the external tax team with required documentation and lead special projects as the business scales.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Education & Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and a CPA license (required).
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience; Big-4 public accounting and Entertainment industry experience are highly preferred.
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of US GAAP; experience with production cost reports and entertainment-specific accounting standards.
  • Systems & Tools: Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with NetSuite is a significant plus.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial findings into clear verbal and written formats for various stakeholders.
