Job Overview

Are you an experienced Harness Design Engineer with a passion for motorsport innovation? We’re looking for a talented engineer to design, develop and support high‑performance wiring harness systems across a range of applications — from on‑car installations to R&D, garage operations, simulators and wind tunnel programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing high‑quality, reliable, lightweight and cost‑effective wiring harnesses.
  • Producing electrical schematics, CAD schemes, assembly drawings, bills of materials and manufacturing documentation.
  • Specifying wiring schedules, wire gauges, connectors, and pin requirements.
  • Working closely with the Design Office, Electronics, Production and R&D teams to deliver cohesive, performance‑driven solutions.
  • Supporting both internal and external harness manufacturing processes.
  • Participating proactively in meetings and collaborating across departments.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, best practices and software tools.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Ideally a strong understanding of Formula 1 and motorsport wiring systems.
  • Excellent knowledge of harness components, materials and best‑practice design.
  • Hands-on experience with Catia (3D experience desirable) and Zuken.
  • Familiarity with vehicle communication systems (CAN, FlexRay, Ethernet).
  • A highly analytical and innovative problem-solving approach with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work calmly and confidently under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build productive relationships across teams.
  • A proactive, adaptable mindset with a commitment to high-quality results and Health & Safety standards.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as required.
