Globeleq’s various generation technologies include gas, wind, solar PV, battery energy storage (BESS), hydro and geothermal.
As Globeleq’s portfolio expands across solar PV, wind, battery energy storage (BESS), and hydro assets, the Engineering team faces an increasing number of small to medium-scale engineering tasks, retrofit projects, instrumentation upgrades, and technical investigations. The Engineering Graduate will provide analytical capability, foundational power-engineering knowledge, and digital fluency to support this growing project pipeline. This role offers hands-on exposure across the full engineering lifecycle (research, scoping, execution, testing, and reporting) while building a robust foundation in South Africa’s evolving renewable energy landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Support delivery of small to medium-scale engineering tasks, including retrofit projects and instrumentation upgrades.
- Assist with technical investigations, data analysis, and preparation of engineering reports.
- Contribute to project scoping, execution, and testing activities across solar PV, wind, BESS, and hydro assets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technical solutions align with operational and commercial objectives.
- Participate in optimisation and performance-improvement initiatives across the asset fleet.
- Support compliance with engineering standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in documenting processes and maintaining accurate engineering records.
- Engage in continuous learning and development, preparing for professional registration with ECSA.
