Westchester Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician to join our established, high-quality general practice in High Point, North Carolina.
This is not an entry-level role—we are looking for someone who can confidently support hospital flow, contribute to patient care, and bring strong technical and client communication skills to a fast-paced environment.
For over 50 years, our team has provided compassionate, comprehensive care to pets across High Point and surrounding communities, including Greensboro, Kernersville, Jamestown, and Thomasville.

🐶 What You’ll Do
Clinical & Technical Support
- Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and procedures
- Perform patient restraint, venipuncture, catheter placement, and sample collection
- Support anesthesia monitoring and surgical procedures
- Prepare and maintain surgical suites and equipment
- Administer medications and vaccinations as directed
Hospital Flow & Patient Care
- Support both scheduled and drop-off appointments
- Maintain efficient patient flow in a busy general practice setting
- Provide attentive nursing care for hospitalized patients
- Ensure accurate and timely medical record documentation
Client Communication
- Educate clients on preventative care, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
- Deliver a high level of customer service and client experience
- Support the team in building long-term client relationships

Required:
- Prior experience as a Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician
- Strong technical skills in a general practice, urgent care, or ER setting
- Ability to multitask and support hospital flow efficiently
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- Comfort working with both canine and feline patients
Preferred:
- RVT / LVT / CVT credential
- Experience with dentistry, surgery, or anesthesia monitoring
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
