Sun King is looking for a Failure Analysis Engineer - Electronics to join our team. In this role, you will review electronic and inverter system issues, identify underlying causes, and communicate clear insights that help improve product reliability and customer experience.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to strengthen product performance and ensure our solutions continue to meet customer needs.
What you will be expected to do:
- Review component- and circuit-level issues using tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in PCBs, boost/buck converters, inverters, and embedded electronic systems.
- Identify underlying causes of inverter and solar system issues and contribute to improving product reliability.
- Maintain clear and well-structured troubleshooting records and failure databases.
- Identify potential quality concerns and contribute to corrective and preventive actions with local and global teams.
- Conduct field visits to assess customer-reported issues, review faulty units, and provide timely feedback.
- Work closely with the aftersales team to improve troubleshooting approaches and repair efficiency.
- Contribute to technical training sessions to strengthen diagnostic and repair capabilities.
You might be a strong candidate if you have:
- A Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field.
- Practical experience in electronic hardware troubleshooting and component-level diagnostics.
- Familiarity with electronic diagnostic tools (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, soldering stations, firmware interfaces).
- Working knowledge of embedded systems, analog/digital circuits, and power electronics.
- Experience working with data (e.g., Excel) to identify patterns and track performance trends.
- Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to solving problems.
- Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work both on your own and with others across teams.
- Exposure to quality assurance practices, root cause techniques (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone), and reliability testing is an added advantage.
