TeleSolv Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Contract Database SME to support government acquisition systems, data management, and analytics initiatives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
This position supports the federal government, and all applicants must be local to the Washington, DC area.
The Contract Database SME plays a critical role in supporting the Government’s mission by providing expert support in managing contract data environments, developing analytics solutions, and ensuring data accuracy and accessibility. This role focuses on database development, reporting, data validation, and supporting data-driven decision-making across acquisition and contracting operations.
This position supports a Government office responsible for acquisition management, contract oversight, and data modernization. The SME contributes to improved data integrity, enhanced reporting capabilities, and informed acquisition decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Provide subject matter expertise in contract database systems, reporting tools, and data analytics solutions.
- Design, develop, maintain, and update database structures, tables, queries, dashboards, and reporting tools.
- Support database development and maintenance using tools such as SQL Server, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Power Platform.
- Conduct testing and quality assurance of database updates to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance with standards.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for database systems, workflows, and user guidance.
- Create and refine reports, queries, and dashboards to provide actionable insights into acquisition and contract activities.
- Support data extraction, validation, and reconciliation from contract writing systems and procurement databases.
- Perform data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement in acquisition operations.
- Assist with transition and migration to new contract writing or financial management systems, including legacy data preservation.
- Provide troubleshooting and technical support for database and reporting issues.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop data solutions that support acquisition workflows and business processes.
- Recommend and implement improvements to enhance data quality, usability, and system performance.
Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, data analytics, computer science, or a related field.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust/Suitability Clearance through the Government.
- Extensive experience with database development, data analytics, and reporting in a federal or enterprise environment.
- Proficiency in SQL, database management systems, and data modeling.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 tools including Excel, Power BI, SharePoint Online, and Power Platform.
- Experience supporting contract management systems and acquisition data environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Experience developing dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
