Warehouse Associate II

Full Time $22.00 - $25.00 / hour

Job Overview


The incumbent will perform normal daily material handling field duties on the Shipping & Receiving (S&R) team. This position works together with other Warehouse Associates and with the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Loads and unloads trailers (manually and with use of forklift) including construction of adequate internal bracing 
  • Assists Operations in loading and unloading of bulk ISO containers and tank trucks
  • Accurately picks and stages finished product containers according to picking instructions, and prepares forshipment
  • Prepares outbound US Mail, sample packages, and small parcels for shipment 
  • Stores incoming raw materials and finished product containers in a logical and orderly manner. Rotates stock as needed to facilitate first-in-first-out usage.
  • Maintains accurate records of material locations within the warehouse 
  • Evaluates acceptance criteria for raw materials and other goods
  • Transacts receipt of goods into the company ERP system
  • Delivers inbound packages to recipients throughout the site
  • Resolves issues that adversely impact customer satisfaction and quality by correcting data in ERP system and/or contacting Customer Service or S/R Team Leader.
  • Assists with investigation and root cause analysis of customer complaints.
Additional Functions and Responsibilities (may include)

·        Actively monitors site Waste Accummulation Areas and moves Waste as required

·        Manage material in site Waste Storage Area; includes monitoring for pressure, leakage, or any other safety concerns

·        Prepares Waste for safe transportation and disposal at approved providers

·        Works closely with the site Environmental Lead and other contract personnel to meet all documentation and regulatory requirements.


Minimum Qualifications


Basic qualifications
:

·        Ability to read/write shipping and receiving paperwork, as well as warehousing standard operating procedures

·        Good communication skills both written and verbal

·        Basic computer skills and mathematics

·        Ability to understand and use company ERP system

·        Ability to understand material safety data sheets

·        Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of EHS best practices and standards and be able to operate and maintain a clean and safe work environment

·        Ability to work with others, share duties, and exchange information in a team environment

·        Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

·        Experience operating a forklift / fork truck

·        Experience operating hand and power tools

·        Knowledge of DOT regulations, as well as DOT hazardous goods experience

·        At least 1 year working at Ascensus as Warehouse Associate I, with demonstrated proficiency in skills as specified in the Shipping & Receiving Progression Grid.


Educational Requirements:

·       GED/High School Diploma
