As part of the Innovetive Petcare family, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis.

This is a part-time role (approximately 20 hours per week) with a flexible schedule based on hospital needs. We anticipate:
- 2–3 days per week
- Options may include:
- 2 full days + 1 half day, or
- 3 half days
- Schedule may evolve as we approach the summer months
Hospital Hours:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
2 Saturday's a Month, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Key Responsibilities
Animal Care & Handling
- Prepare patients for exams and procedures
- Administer medications and monitor patient health
- Assist veterinarians during exams and treatments
Clinical & Diagnostic Support
- Assist with x-rays, lab work, and in-house diagnostics
- Prepare and process lab samples
Surgical Assistance (Required)
- Set up and maintain sterile surgical environments
- Monitor anesthesia and support surgical procedures
- Assist with pre- and post-operative patient care
Client Communication & Education
- Provide clear discharge instructions and aftercare guidance
- Educate clients on preventative care, nutrition, and wellness
Medical Records & Organization
- Maintain accurate patient records using EMR systems
- Support inventory and treatment tracking
Facility & Equipment Maintenance
- Ensure cleanliness and proper sanitation of all clinical areas
- Maintain and monitor equipment functionality

Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician required
- Hands-on surgical experience preferred
(catheter placement, blood draws, anesthesia monitoring, surgical support) - Licensure (LVT, RVT, CVT) preferred but not required
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Veterinary technology or animal science education is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Familiarity with veterinary software/EMR systems
