Load Shovel / Machine Operator – 4on 4off
Operational Duties
- Machinery & Plant Operation: Be proficient in operating all machinery and plant essential to the business unit, ensuring their safe and efficient use.
Key Responsibilities
Safety & Compliance
- Work Environment:
- Maintain a safe and organized workspace, ensuring walkways and emergency exits are free of obstructions.

- Always use the appropriate safety equipment and PPE.
- Incident Reporting: Immediately report:
- Non-conforming wastes or contamination delivered to the site.

- Accidents, incidents, near-misses, environmental hazards, and health & safety breaches to the relevant manager.
Continuous Improvement
- Training: Undertake necessary training to expand capabilities, including the operation of additional machinery or equipment.
- Audits & Checks: Conduct random checks and audits on machinery under your remit to ensure compliance with operational standards.
Flexibility & Business Continuity
- Cover other operational roles as needed to ensure the continuity of business activities.
- Engage in manual handling tasks to assist with waste management activities.
Health & Safety
· Take responsibility for personal health and safety, as well as that of colleagues potentially affected by your work actions.
· Actively identify and report unsafe conditions to foster a safe workplace culture.
· Adhere to the company’s management systems, safe systems of work, and legal requirements.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Key attributes
· The ideal candidate will have experience operating either Loading Shovel or 360.
