Your Role in our Mission:  
The Proposition Manager – Small Business is the commercial and strategic owner of Reward Gateway’s small-business digital channel, a fully self-serve platform designed to make employee engagement simple and accessible for every organisation. 
 
You will lead the end-to-end commercial success of the proposition, owning its positioning, pricing, digital acquisition funnel, conversion journey, activation, and retention outcomes. This role requires a blend of commercial strategy, digital performance optimisation, product insight, and analytical rigour. 
 
You will partner closely with Product, Marketing, Growth and Finance to continuously enhance performance, improve user journeys, and grow a digital channel that is scalable, profitable, and deeply aligned with customer needs. 
 
As Proposition Manager – Small Business, you will: 
  • Define and refine the go-to-market strategy for RGSB. 
  • Drive digital acquisition, activation, and conversion through data-driven experimentation. 
  • Partner with Product to continuously improve onboarding, user journeys, and product experience. 
  • Collaborate with Marketing to reduce CAC, improve funnel efficiency, and strengthen messaging. 
  • Use customer, market, and behavioural data to shape pricing, packaging, and roadmap priorities. 
  • Own and grow the RGSB P&L, ensuring sustainable, scalable commercial performance.

What You’ll be Doing:

Proposition & GTM Ownership 
  • Define target customer segments, ICPs, and value propositions for small business buyers. 
  • Own pricing, packaging, positioning, and commercial model for the digital self-serve channel. 
  • Develop and execute launch plans, campaigns, and GTM initiatives with Product and Marketing. 
  • Monitor competitor offerings and market trends to maintain differentiation. 
Digital Channel & Commercial Performance 
  • Own the full digital acquisition, conversion, and revenue funnel for RGSB. 
  • Optimise CAC, conversion rates, activation, and early retention through data-led experimentation. 
  • Build dashboards and reporting to monitor funnel health and unit economics. 
  • Work with Finance to manage budgets, growth forecasts, cost-to-acquire, and cost-to-serve metrics. 
  • Lead funnel optimisation through A/B tests, CRO strategies, UX improvements, and messaging refinement. 
Customer Experience & User Journey Optimisation 
  • Partner with Product to improve onboarding, activation, and in-platform user experience. 
  • Map and enhance key user journeys across registration, set-up, adoption, and usage. 
  • Advocate for product enhancements based on customer insights, behavioural data, and funnel analysis. 
  • Build scalable enablement content, guides, FAQs, and support materials to reduce friction. 
Cross-Functional Collaboration 
  • Work closely with Marketing on campaign targeting, messaging, channel performance, and creative testing. 
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering on feature prioritisation, delivery timelines, and UX improvements. 
  • Align with Sales, Support, and Customer Success to ensure readiness and consistency across the business. 
  • Represent the voice of the RGSB customer within commercial leadership forums and GTM planning cycles. 

Experience and Skills You Need in this Role:

  • Previous experience in proposition management, digital product marketing, product-led growth (PLG), or commercial strategy. 
  • Proven success owning or scaling a digital, self-serve, or e-commerce acquisition funnel, ideally in SaaS. 
  • Strong background in data analysis, experimentation, and conversion rate optimisation. 
  • Comfortable owning budgets, ROI models, unit economics, and commercial performance. 
  • Strong collaboration skills across Product, Marketing, Engineering, and Sales. 
  • Prior experience with small business markets, digital marketplaces, HR tech or SaaS is desirable. 
  • Comfortable balancing strategy and execution in a fast-moving, evolving environment. 
  • Commercial Ownership: Strong understanding of revenue drivers, margin levers, and digital channel profitability. 
  • Analytical Thinking: Uses data, experiments, and insight to inform decisions and optimise performance. 
  • Digital Growth Expertise: Hands-on experience driving acquisition, activation, and conversion for self-serve channels. 
  • Customer-Centric Mindset: Creates simple, intuitive experiences tailored to small business needs. 
  • Cross-Functional Influence: Partners seamlessly with Product, Marketing, Sales, and Engineering. 
  • Innovation: Finds creative, scalable ways to fuel product-led growth. 
  • Execution & Ownership: Manages the end-to-end performance of the RGSB proposition with clarity and discipline.
