We are seeking a great communicator with a passion for all things AI Governance to join our team and shape the responsible development and implementation of our AI initiatives.
You will play a critical role in developing and enforcing policies that ensure our AI systems are fair, ethical, reliable, and transparent.
You will also be responsible for staying abreast of evolving AI regulations and collaborating with stakeholders across the organisation to build trust and mitigate potential risks.
Working with the Office of the CISO functional areas, the GRC Divisional Risk Heads and the AI Steerco this role will lead the day-to-day programme management of Davies AI Governance, becoming the initial point of contact for anyone with AI Governance / regulatory related questions.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and embed the organisation’s AI governance frameworks, including relevant policies, standards, and best practices.
- Monitor and stay informed of evolving global AI regulations and compliance requirements, ensuring ongoing organisational adherence.
- Monitor AI usage across the business and identify, assess and report risks arising from non-compliance with internal policies.
- Facilitate and review AI impact assessments (AIIAs), identifying potential ethical, legal, regulatory and reputational risks associated with AI use.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (including engineers, developers, data scientists, and product managers) to integrate AI governance principles into the design, development and deployment of AI-enabled solutions.
- Design and deliver training sessions and workshops to raise awareness and understanding of AI governance requirements and best practices.
- Develop, implement and maintain metrics to assess the effectiveness of AI governance activities, including the production of monthly reporting, and escalation outputs.
- Act as the Davies SME for all internal and client enquiries relating to Davies’ use and development of AI products and services.
- Support contract reviews by assessing and advising on AI-related contractual clauses.
- Coordinate and manage Davies’ responses to AI-focused regulatory enquiries, whilst working to develop a standard response set.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- 7- 12 years’ experience in a range of grounding areas, the role is not expected to be a technical engineer but must understand AI well enough to govern, challenge, and assure it.
- Strong understanding of ethical considerations and potential risks associated with AI.
- Familiarity with relevant AI regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence diverse stakeholders.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
- Great time management and organisational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
