We are seeking a Project Accountant to join our growing Financial Services team and play a critical role in the financial performance of our projects. This role goes beyond traditional accounting - in this highly collaborative position, you’ll serve as a trusted partner to Project Managers.
You will be providing financial insight, ensuring accurate project setup and billing, and helping drive informed decision-making throughout the project lifecycle. Your contributions will play a key role in keeping projects on track and financially sound from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform project financial reviews and provide insightful financial analysis
- Manage project setup and closeout, including budgets, EACs (Estimates at Completion), and billing terms
- Review contracts to ensure accurate project configuration and compliance
- Partner with Project Managers on budgeting, revenue recognition, and client billing
- Prepare and issue invoices in accordance with contract terms
- Monitor accounts receivable and support collections efforts in line with company policies
- Lead and facilitate monthly project review meetings
- Support additional financial and operational initiatives as needed
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- 4+ years of relevant project accounting or professional services accounting experience
- Strong understanding of revenue recognition and key financial metrics
- Working knowledge of contract language and various billing structures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint a plus
