Chemical Technician I

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Responsible for mixing and processing chemicals through various laboratory procedures. 
• Responsible for setting up and constructing standard experimental apparatus. 
• Responsible for compiling data on laboratory experiments and preparing charts or graphs. 
•    Responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly work area while observing stringent safety requirements. 
• Responsible for maintaining a complete, accurate, clear and neat laboratory notebook. 

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions 
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills 
• Strategic thinker who can see long-term goals and balance against short and intermediate-term needs 
• Ability to manage priorities and workflow 
• Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees 
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines 

• Strong understanding of chemistry 
• 0-2 years experience in the handling of chemicals 

• High school diploma or equivalent required
