The Photographer is responsible for producing high-quality images. Key metrics for the role may include: Image quality and meeting production targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Captures all required images to GS1 Canada standards, ensuring deadlines are met;
- Ensures image exposure and lighting setup are appropriate for each product type.
- Ensures colour management and white balance are consistent within the workflow.
- Ensures that the proper naming convention is used to file images.
- Provide maximum quality images, ensuring efficiency for the next step of production.
- Ensures that images are delivered within established deadlines;
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- 3-year college diploma in photography or equivalent experience;
- At least 3-5 years of experience in product photography;
- Experience in capturing products, table-top photography, 2D, planogram, Ecommerce and nutrition an asset;
- Relevant knowledge of the mechanical workings of photographic equipment;
- Proven proficiency in Photoshop in a professional environment.
- Bilingual (French/English) language skills are an asset.
- Proven organizational skills, possessing a high level of attention to detail;
- Strong time management skills with the proven ability to work under pressure with tight and changing deadlines.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and bend to pick up products up to 49 lbs up to 25% of the time;
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time or climb a stepladder
