The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing the day-to-day flow of outbound shipments, ensuring accurate documentation, efficient scheduling, and a positive experience for drivers and internal teams. This role plays a critical part in coordinating high volumes of semi-truck traffic while maintaining organization, accuracy, and timeliness in all shipping activities.

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Coordinate and manage the daily flow of outbound shipments, including high volumes of semi-truck pickups
- Schedule loads and assign pickup times to optimize efficiency and minimize delays
- Prepare, review, and distribute shipping documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Verify that all paperwork matches the correct load prior to release
- Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, providing clear instructions and resolving issues in real time
- Communicate with internal departments (production, warehouse, customer service) to ensure order readiness and accuracy
- Maintain organized records of shipments, bills of lading, and other logistics documentation
- Troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies related to shipments, paperwork, or scheduling
- Monitor yard activity and coordinate dock flow to support timely loading and departures
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and transportation regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or relevant experience preferred
- Previous experience in logistics, shipping/receiving, transportation, or manufacturing environment strongly preferred
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly when working with drivers and cross-functional teams
- Basic computer skills, including experience with shipping systems, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office
- Ability to problem-solve quickly and make sound decisions under pressure
