To support and lead the inventory services group while maintaining high inventory accuracy and world class customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the implementation of annual inventory counts, periodic cycle counting, reconciliation programs, recalls and product expiration.
- Assist with work assignment and training of inventory services team members.
- Coordinate the implementation of established programs related to inventory control and data accuracy (i.e. stock retrievals, expired poly/metal programs, and non-conforming product).
- Coordinate the inventory data collection program involving Palm Pilot technology, continually researching process improvement.
- Investigation and problem solving for various inventory management issues.
- Complete understanding of MFG/Pro functionality as related to inventory management. Ability to recognize problem areas and assist with improvements.
- Implementation of special projects as initiated by team leader.
- Assist agents and directors of sales with inventory management for hospitals and Exactech house accounts.
- Provide superior customer service to all internal and external customers.
- Know and apply the Quality System and any appropriate Federal and International standards.
- Assist and support other employees, teams, and personnel as necessary
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Education:
- Associate's Degree from an accredited institution required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Experience:
- 3 years experience in inventory control.
- Familiarity in working with inventory control and distribution systems.
- Experience with ERP systems preferred.
Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Knowledge of total joint or orthopedic industry desired.
- High level of organization, analytical and communication skills.
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office software suite, including database management.
