 Reports to:  Senior Commercial Manager
Location: Leicester LE3
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week (Hybrid considered)

As a Portfolio Account Manager within the Elite stream for the I&C (Industrial & Commercial) division, you will take ownership of a portfolio of high-value, complex accounts. This role is focused on strategic account leadership, commercial optimisation, and delivering long-term value through exceptional partner management.

You will be responsible for navigating complex tender processes, making informed and strategic pricing decisions, and leveraging strong sales acumen to drive financial growth. Through effective key account management, you will maximise contract renewals, identify upsell opportunities, and strengthen long-term partner relationships.

You will bring experience in building strong, trust-based relationships, with a proven track record of enhancing client satisfaction and retention within the business utility sector.

Acting as a key point of contact for Yu Energy, you will support your partners’ ongoing performance, build strong networks within each organisation, and create additional value through regular engagement, support, and collaboration.

From the moment a prospect agrees to become a Yü customer, you will manage the end-to-end interaction throughout their lifecycle. Your focus will be on onboarding performance, billing, revenue management and cash management performance and Smart Install bookings.

What We Need from Yü

Here’s a taste of what you’ll be doing:

· Accountable for managing Business Account customers accounts, including onboarding, billing, revenue management performance, and cash management performance.

· Strengthen day-to-day client relationships through exceptional client service, in-depth knowledge of the client’s industry and business and impeccable delivery and client engagement.

· Develop and manage key strategic relationships across key clients and stakeholders to drive successful engagement programs.

· Ensure risks and opportunities are fully understood and communicated, identifying the best ways of mitigating the key risks and maximizing the key opportunities.

· Support department-wide development initiatives.

· Maintain and enhance knowledge of the energy industry.

· Monitor competitive activity within the assigned customers, being alert to any opportunities and threats.

· Analyse client needs and provide tailored solutions.

· Collaborate with cross-department teams to ensure client satisfaction.

· Provide regular reports and updates to the line management and other stakeholders.

·  Manage and support projects from end to end.

· Develop key relationships across the organisation and with third parties.

· Train new starters on processes and policies.

· Seek improvements in working processes and practices.

· Confidently promote effective communication within the wider team and cross-departmental.

· Proven experience managing complex, high-value accounts within the I&C or business energy sector 

· Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to make strategic pricing and negotiation decisions

· Demonstrated experience in managing and winning complex tender processes 

· Track record of driving revenue growth through renewals, retention, and upselling 

· Advanced stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at a senior level 

·  Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, particularly in complex commercial scenarios 

·  Ability to balance strategic thinking with delivery and execution
