Job Overview

Ensure the operational continuity of production equipment through the efficient execution of preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on industrial machinery, guaranteeing the reliability, safety, and availability of assets in accordance with quality, safety, and productivity standards.

Key Responsibilities

Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on:
  • CNC machining centers
  • Conventional and CNC lathes
  • Automated production equipment
  • Auxiliary systems (compressors, pumps, hydraulic systems, etc.)
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic failures.
Interpret diagrams:
  • Electrical (power and control)
  • Pneumatic and hydraulic
  • Mechanical drawings
Perform machine adjustments, alignments, leveling, and calibrations.
Execute maintenance activities on:
  • Control systems
  • Sensors
  • Actuators
  • Variable frequency drives (VFDs)
  • PLCs (basic/intermediate level)
Participate in line start-ups and equipment validation after maintenance.
Document work orders in CMMS systems (e.g., MP9).
Comply with safety standards (LOTO, work at heights, confined spaces, etc.).
Support continuous improvement initiatives, failure reduction, and OEE improvement.
Maintain order and cleanliness in the work area (5S).

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Maintenance of:
  • CNC machining centers (Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, or similar)
  • CNC and conventional lathes
Computer Numerical Control (CNC)
Industrial electricity:
  • Reading electrical diagrams
  • Electric motors
  • Contactors, relays, and protection devices
Electrical control:
  • Sensors (inductive, capacitive, photoelectric)
  • Actuators
Hydraulics:
  • Diagram interpretation
  • Diagnosis of valves, pumps, and leaks
Pneumatics:
  • Valves, cylinders, FRL units, troubleshooting
Industrial mechanics:
  • Power transmission systems (belts, chains, gears)
  • Shaft alignment
  • Bearings
Basic welding:
  • Electric (arc) welding
Basic PLC programming (Allen-Bradley / Siemens)
Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) operation
Use of measurement instruments:
  • Multimeter
  • Vernier caliper
  • Micrometer
Thermography, vibration analysis, or predictive maintenance techniques
Knowledge of SCADA systems


Experience
  • Minimum of 2 to 5 years in industrial maintenance.
  • Proven experience with CNC machinery and production lines.
  • Experience troubleshooting under operational pressure.


Education
  • Technical degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electromechanics, or related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (incomplete or completed preferred).
