As a Production Coordinator (Mira) at Impulse, you will be responsible for driving day-to-day factory execution by ensuring work orders, materials, and resources are aligned to support production schedules. This role serves as the central coordination point between Planning, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Inventory, Quality, and Engineering to ensure hardware moves efficiently through the factory.
The Production Coordinator owns work order execution, material readiness, shortage management, production status tracking, and escalation of blockers to maintain schedule adherence and maximize factory throughput.
Responsibilities
- Production Execution
- Release and manage manufacturing work orders in ERP/MES systems.
- Coordinate handoffs between manufacturing work centers.
- Track work order progress and identify schedule risks.
- Support daily production standups and execution reviews.
- Escalate production delays, bottlenecks, and resource constraints.
- Material Readiness
- Verify material availability prior to work order release.
- Coordinate material staging and kit readiness activities.
- Identify and communicate material shortages.
- Partner with Inventory, Planning, and Procurement to resolve shortages.
- Factory Flow Management
- Maintain accurate work order status throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.
- Coordinate movement of hardware between departments.
- Drive execution of manufacturing priorities established by planners and program leadership.
- Support recovery plans for delayed or at-risk builds.
- Systems and Data Integrity
- Maintain accurate work order data within ERP/MES systems.
- Ensure location tracking and status updates are completed accurately.
- Support item master and planning data accuracy initiatives.
- Participate in process improvement projects to improve factory execution.
- Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on throughput, schedule adherence, and cycle time reduction.
- Partner with Planning, Manufacturing, Inventory, and Engineering teams to streamline cross-functional workflows.
- Support implementation of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, production control, supply chain, operations, or planning.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
- Demonstrated experience using ERP, MRP, MES, and/or QMS systems
