Key Responsibilities
- Focuses on managing and maintaining an accurate inventory of all linens on the cruise ship.
- Inspects linens for cleanliness, wear, and tear, emphasizing maintaining high standards for guest satisfaction.
- Collaborates with housekeeping and other departments to meet the linen needs of different ship areas.
- May promote sustainability goals related to linen usage and waste reduction.
- Responds to guest requests for additional or special linens, ensuring prompt and courteous service.
- Maintains an accurate and up-to-date inventory of all linens onboard, including bed linens, towels, tablecloths, and other textiles.
- Monitors stock levels and reorder to ensure an adequate supply for all ship areas.
- Implements procedures to address quality issues, such as stains or damages, and coordinate with the laundry department for corrective actions.
- Coordinates the efficient distribution of clean linens to various cruise ship areas, including guest cabins, dining venues, lounges, and public spaces.
- Implements strategies to minimize linen waste, considering responsible handling and storage practices.
- Maintains accurate documentation of linen-related activities, including inventory counts, distribution records, and quality assessments.
- Prepares regular reports for management on linen usage, stock levels, and any issues that require attention.
- Ensures that guest preferences regarding linen types or special requests are accommodated when possible.
- Works closely with the laundry department to ensure a smooth flow of linens for cleaning and timely return to circulation.
- Collaborates with relevant departments to troubleshoot and find solutions to linen-related challenges. Address and resolve any issues related to linen quality, availability, or distribution.
