Job Overview

Audencia (www.audencia.com) invites applications for a position as Assistant or Associate Professor of Organizational Behavior/Organizational Change in the Organization Studies and Ethics (OSE) department. This is a full-time, permanent position based at our Nantes campuses, with an expected start date of September 1, 2026.

Position requirements

We are looking for applicants specialized in Organizational Behavior, Organization Theory, Organizational Change in terms of both research and teaching. Applicants should hold a Ph.D.

In accordance with our programs and in line with our school strategic axes, we particularly welcome applicants whose scientific and pedagogical activities, in addition to the above-mentioned subjects, are multi-disciplinary and are related with the economic, technological, environmental, social or (geo)-political challenges of today's world.

The successful applicant is expected to have the ability to teach effectively a range of undergraduate and graduate courses such as Organizational Change, Organizational Dynamics, Organizational Behavior, Soft Skills among others. In addition, experience in teaching Soft Skills would be an advantage. The teaching is in French and English.

The successful applicant will be asked to coordinate pre-master’s and/or master’s courses on the topics related to organizational behavior, organizational theory or organizational change.

Applicants should also be able to demonstrate their ability to successfully publish in high-impact peer-reviewed international journals.

Position overview

The new faculty member will join our OSE (Organization Studies & Ethics) department, consisting of 31 core faculty members. The research and pedagogy axes of the department encompass a wide range of topics and have an interdisciplinary outlook grouped into the expertise areas such as Sustainability, CSR and Ethics; Organization Studies; Human Resource Management; Organizational Behavior. We are committed to studying socio-political, economic, and environmental developments contributing to a sustainable future for individuals, organizations, and society. We conduct engaged and impactful research at the individual (employee, leader, manager), organizational (start-up, large companies and SMEs), and inter-organizational (networks, supply chains, ecosystems, stakeholder) levels that enhances scholarship and practice.

The department manages several programs such as MS Actor for Ecological Transition, MSc in International Management & Business, MSc in Management for Sustainable Business, MSc in Public Policy & International Cooperation, MSc in Human Resource Management and People Development.

Salary is negotiable and commensurate with potential and experience. There are a number of benefits attached to the contract including an individual research or pedagogical budget, the possibility to apply for additional internal funding opportunities, performance-based bonuses and family medical coverage.

The school has campuses in France and abroad. This position is primarily based in Nantes but the successful candidate must also be willing to teach across campuses.
