You will support the Head Chef in the organisation and running of the University kitchens and counter service. You will be responsible for developing food provision across a variety of outlets, delivering and developing the event & hospitality menus.
About the Role
- To oversee the day-to-day organization, preparation, and cooking of all meals to a high standard in all catering outlets on campus and areas in the central Production Kitchen.
- Support the head chef with developing food trends on an ongoing basis, ensuring the catering offer at the university is modern, exciting, & innovate.
- Support the head chef with achieving food cost targets and achieving budget
- Assist in the planning and delivery of events such as graduation, open days, weddings, summer schools and conferences.
About You
- Cooking Qualification or equivalent experience
- Recent experience working in a commercial industrial or public catering role
- Passion for food and excellent service delivery
- Experience of staff training
- Basic IT skills
