Our district is growing fast, and so are we. With plenty of projects ahead, we need someone who can help keep our technology flowing smoothly where it’s needed most. When you join Waipā Networks, you’ll be part of a close-knit team that values honesty, teamwork and doing the mahi that matters for our community.
What the role involves
You’ll support the day-to-day IT needs of the business, making sure our people have the tools and support they need to stay connected and productive. You’ll:
Provide frontline IT support, resolving incidents and service requests efficiently

Support Microsoft technologies such as Windows, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Exchange, Azure, Entra ID, and Intune or Endpoint Manager
Monitor system availability, maintain IT assets, and escalate issues when needed
Support IT security through patching, controls, and promoting good security practices
Create and maintain clear documentation for users and the wider IT team
Contribute to IT projects, change management, and continuous improvement.
About you
You enjoy helping others, take pride in getting the details right, and bring a practical, solutions-focused approach to IT support. You’re comfortable working with people across the organisation and explaining technical issues in a clear, down-to-earth way.
You’ll also bring:
A certificate in computer science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
At least two years’ experience supporting Microsoft technologies in a business environment
Strong problem-solving skills, a can-do attitude, and a genuine focus on customer service
The ability to work collaboratively and build positive working relationships.
If you’re ready to keep our systems running and help our people thrive as part of a supportive IT team, we’d love to hear from you.
