Bastrop Veterinary Hospital is seeking a compassionate, dependable Kennel Technician to help provide exceptional care for our boarding and hospitalized patients. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with animals and is interested in growing a career in veterinary medicine.
Some of the responsibilities you will own in this role:
- Feed, water, walk, and monitor boarding and hospitalized pets.
- Clean and disinfect kennels, cages, treatment areas, and exam rooms.
- Bathe patients as directed.
- Wash, fold, and restock laundry and hospital supplies.
- Clean food and water bowls, litter boxes, and bedding.
- Assist the veterinary team with patient handling and restraint.
- Report patient concerns promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized hospital while following all safety and sanitation protocols.
