We are looking for an experienced Electronics Technician to join our Electronics Department. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-performance environment, supporting the development, manufacture, maintenance and testing of critical electronic and electrical systems used on our F1 race cars and engineering test facilities.
Working as part of a highly skilled team, you will play an important role in ensuring the quality, reliability and performance of wiring harnesses, sensors, electronic assemblies and test equipment that support our racing operations.
Key Responsibilities
As an Electronics Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Manufacturing high-quality wiring harness assemblies from production documentation.
- Inspecting assemblies during build to ensure quality standards and processes are maintained.
- Performing electrical testing of harness assemblies using Cirris test equipment.
- Servicing, cleaning, inspecting and repairing harnesses following use.
- Building harnesses and electrical systems for test equipment, support systems and engineering rigs.
- Carrying out cable terminations and connector installations for sensors and actuators.
- Supporting harness mock-ups, determining routing requirements and creating sketches and drawings as required.
- Assisting with vehicle build activities, testing, fault finding and freight support when needed.
- Supporting the installation and commissioning of engineering test rigs.
- Maintaining accurate manufacturing and service records while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
- Strong experience in wiring harness prototype and production manufacture.
- Ideally, previous experience in a similar role within a motorsport environment.
- Experience assembling and reworking electrical systems, test equipment, rigs, panels and related electronic hardware.
- Knowledge of sensor and actuator servicing and calibration.
- Ideally, experience with surface-mount circuit board assembly.
- A proactive and self-motivated approach, with the ability to prioritise effectively and work under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
