We are seeking a proactive and resilient Security Team Leader to join our Estates & Security team. Reporting to the Security Manager, you will lead and support a team of Security Officers to deliver a high-quality, professional security service across the University campus.

About the Role
As Security Team Leader, you will lead, motivate and support a team of Security Officers, ensuring the highest standards of professionalism, safety and customer service. You'll oversee day-to-day security operations, including patrols, building access, alarms and campus safety, while taking the lead during operational and critical incidents.
The role includes managing team performance, delivering training and briefings, ensuring compliance with health and safety and SIA requirements, maintaining operational equipment, and fostering a positive, inclusive team culture with a focus on staff development and wellbeing.

About You
- Previous experience in leading teams, managing performance, supporting and developing staff
- Experience in building positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
- Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent)
- Valid full UK Manual driving license
- Hold current SIA and CCTV (or willing to obtain one) during probation period
- Effective organizational skills with ability to plan prioritize and delegate
- Experience of managing incidents involving welfare, vulnerability or safeguarding
- Live within a reasonable commutable distance to the campus based on a 12 hr shift
