EMC Engineering Intern (Summer 2027)

As an EMC Engineering Intern, your core responsibility will be to support electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) Engineering workflows. You will collaborate closely with RF, Avionics, Mechanical, and Software Engineers to test, troubleshoot and report findings of electromagnetic performance on various products. You will have the unique opportunity to contribute on various spacecraft components and system level development.

Responsibilities
- Contribute to optimization of in-house EMC automation.
- Drive semi-anechoic chamber bringup and inter-chamber repeatability.
- Conduct analysis and simulation of spacecraft components and systems for phenomen such as radiated emissions, surface charging, and performance in radiation.
- Conduct component level and system level EMC testing per MIL-STD 461 & MIL-STD-464
- Drive test plans, test reports, and troubleshooting efforts with diverse engineering groups across multiple satellite designs.
- Operate and integrate common EMC lab related equipment including spectrum analyzers, signal generators, RF amplifiers, scopes, etc.
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master's program for Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related area.
- Understanding of circuit theory and EM fundamentals concepts.
- Familiarity working hands-on in a lab with RF test equipment.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast paced environment.
