IT Technician

We’re looking for a proactive IT Technician to help maintain the integrity of our IT network and software systems across our hotels. You’ll support a wide range of departments, acting as the first point of contact for colleagues experiencing technical issues or seeking IT guidance. This hands-on role sits at the heart of our hotels and directly contributes to the quality of our guest experience.

Responsibilities

- Install, configure, and maintain user workstations, servers, Wi-Fi systems, network cabling, communication systems, TVs, and other related devices.

- Troubleshoot, prioritise, and resolve technical issues—hardware, connectivity, printers, and software—via our ticketing system.

- Carry out regular software updates, patches, and operating system upgrades.

- Manage user accounts, including creating, updating, and disabling access when required.

- Provide clear IT support and advice for both hardware and software queries.

- Assist in training team members on existing or new IT systems.

- Help maintain and grow our technical knowledgebase, including user self-help guides.

- Liaise with third-party IT suppliers, logging faults and assisting in swift resolutions.

- Ensure the security and integrity of business data and networks, following best practice for privacy, security, and compliance.

- Support occasional out-of-hours IT maintenance on live systems.

Qualifications

- Experience as an IT Technician or similar role, or relevant academic training.

- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.

- Basic understanding of computer systems, Windows/macOS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and NAT.

- Good working knowledge of internet security and data protection principles.

- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are an advantage.
