What are we looking for?
We are seeking an experienced and talented Regional Business Manager AGRO, for Madagascar subsidiary.
What do we expect from the candidate?
The candidate will be in charge of establish Solevo as a leading distributor in Madagascar, determine and proactively manage with entrepreneurial spirit the optimal commercial structure for the Agro business. Main accountabilities are:
- The road to market driving the business segmentation, number of customers served and the establishment of an adequate sales organization.
- Transfer of market presence in value creation*) by driving price, volume, gross-net conversion, receivables and inventories
The key responsibilities:
- Develop, optimize, and manage customer portfolio. Follow up on financial capability and their reach.
- Develop and manage key accounts in the region, incl. regular visits – technical assistance, receivables.
Customer Management

Supply & Inventory management
- Ensure actual and future volume follow up through the SOP cycle, sales, stocks, ongoing purchases a new purchase.
- Define with the production manager the production and repackaging requirements.

Distribution
- Define and implement distribution policy, incl sales force structure, customer. segmentation, the commercial strategy and RTM.

Marketing
- Responsible for implementation Solevo’s marketing strategy.
- Ensure effective competitive and customer intelligence.
- Implement product presentation and branding.

Financials
- Plan, forecast and drive achievement of short (rolling 18 months) - and long-term (3-5 year) price and volume objectives (sales and margins).
- Plan, manage and monitor Gross-Net conversion (reduce value leakage).
- Ensure strict credit policy and receivables management.

Registrations
- Define the areas of research and development, organize and supervise the approval of new products.

Team Management:
- Define sales operations, monitor/control the activities of the Agro-team (objectives, weekly/monthly report, etc.).
- Motivation, Mentoring and coaching of the team for attaining desired objectives
- Sales incentives calculations.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Agronomy, plant science or related field.
- >10 years’ experience in sales management, ideally in the agriculture input industry.
- Prior experience in managing sales forces
- Knowledge of local agriculture market, technical knowledge of Crop protection products, Fertilizers and/or Seeds, the local legislation and legal environment as well as key decision makers
- Good understanding of Commercial vision and the market/supply chain/players specificities/complexities
- Agility & analytical mindset
- Excellent communication skills in English and French (a plus) for effective stakeholder engagement and documentation
