Senior Brand Experience Designer

The position will be part of our Milan Aesthetic Research Center, one of Huawei’s Research Centers, committed to enhancing the quality of Huawei products.

We are dedicated to shaping the future of product design through deep research and visionary thinking. Our team thrives on curiosity, creativity, and collaboration,exploring new ways to enhance consumer experiences and inspire industry innovation.

We believe in challenging conventional design approaches and integrating cross-disciplinary insights to envision groundbreaking solutions and create outstanding brand experiences in the field of AI.

In this role, the Senior Brand Experience Designer focuses on exploring new ways to create international brand experiences, developing corporate identity systems, and helping craft visionary communication strategies that inspire and inform headquarters teams.

Working collaboratively with other design teams, the position focuses on translating insights into compelling visual and conceptual ideas. Rather than leading brand implementation, the role contributes to exploring new approaches and future-oriented design concepts that support the ongoing evolution of brand perception across global markets.

Brand Strategy & Future Vision

· Support the exploration of future-oriented brand experience ideas that align with long-term corporate objectives.

· Research emerging trends in brand identity, digital experiences, and global communication to understand shifts in consumer perception.

· Contribute to conceptual frameworks that support the brand’s evolution across international markets.

· Assist in translating brand strategy into visual and conceptual design solutions that communicate compelling brand narratives.

Corporate Identity & Design Systems

· Contribute to the development and evolution of corporate identity systems across brand touchpoints.

· Explore new approaches to visual identity elements, including typography, color systems, imagery, motion design, and AI.

· Support the creation of scalable design principles that enable consistent multi-platform brand communication.

· Assist in the exploration of brand architecture concepts that help maintain clarity and consistency across global markets.

Communication Design & Storytelling

· Develop creative design concepts that support corporate and consumer communication initiatives.

· Explore design solutions that connect digital, physical, and experiential brand environments.

· Contribute to the creation of brand guidelines and visual frameworks that support effective storytelling.

· Experiment with new visual approaches and media to engage audiences across evolving platforms.

Collaboration

· Contribute research insights, visual explorations, and design proposals within collaborative project teams.

· Support the translation of research findings into visual concepts and design directions.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams and include disciplines like industrial design, retail experience, and UX/UI to ensure brand consistency.

Market & Consumer Trend Research

· Conduct research on cultural, technological, and consumer trends that influence brand perception.

· Analyze relevant brand benchmarks and visual communication approaches across industries.

· Monitor shifts in branding and design practices to identify inspiration and opportunities for innovation.

What are the skills required for this position?

Education & Background:

Qualifications

. Master’s degree in Communication Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.

· 8+ years of experience in brand design, corporate identity development, and communication design.

· Experience contributing to international brand projects and working with established brand guidelines or corporate identity systems.

· Experience working within multidisciplinary teams across brand, marketing, and design functions.

Technical Skills

. Strong knowledge of brand design systems, visual identity development, and corporate identity guidelines.

· Strong skills in typography, color systems, layout, and visual storytelling.

· Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch/ Figma, plus the latest, most emerging AI-supported creative tools, e.g. Midjourney, FreePik, Nano Banana

· Good understanding of motion design and experience in e.g. After Effects

· Understanding of emerging AI-supported creative tools in this field is a big plus (Stable Diffusion, Runway, Veo, Highsfield)

· Understanding of digital branding and multi-platform brand communication.

Soft Skills

· Creative and concept-driven thinking with curiosity for emerging branding and design trends.

· Strong research and analytical abilities to translate insights into compelling design ideas.

· Clear communication and presentation skills to share concepts and collaborate effectively with team members.

· Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and contribute to creative discussions.

· Attention to detail and ability to balance creativity with brand consistency and project requirements.
