About the role.
The Senior Customer Service Representative will manage and oversee the full order-to-cash cycle, ensuring efficient processes, strong controls, and timely collections. This role plays a key part in mentoring junior team members, resolving complex disputes, and driving continuous improvements to support business growth and working capital optimization.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead and perform end-to-end O2C operations, including order management, billing, collections, cash application, and dispute resolution.
Prepare and review AR aging reports, drive effective collection strategies, and actively reduce DSO.
Manage customer and internal stakeholder relationships, resolve escalated disputes, and negotiate payment terms.
Ensure compliance with audit, SOX, internal controls, accounting standards, IFRS, and tax requirements.
Drive process automation, standardization, and efficiency initiatives across O2C activities.
Support month-end and quarter-end closing, reconciliations, and reporting to senior management.
Train, coach, and mentor junior O2C specialists to build a high-performing team.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Logistics, Treasury, and Tax.
REQUIREMENTS:
Native/fluent in German both verbal and written (C2 level). Fluent in English (C1 level)
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
5–7 years of experience in O2C, Accounts Receivable, or finance operations, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
Strong expertise in O2C processes, financial controls, and compliance frameworks.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Proven stakeholder management and negotiation capabilities.
Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Workday.
Experience working in global environments with multi-currency transactions.
Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
Advanced Excel and reporting skills.
