Senior Compliance Officer

Job Overview

Our client is seeking a dedicated Compliance Officer to ensure that all business operations within regulated markets are conducted in full adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal standards. The role involves monitoring regulatory developments, implementing compliance frameworks, and supporting cross-functional teams to maintain ongoing compliance across jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and stay up to date with all legal and regulatory obligations and changes across relevant markets, including AML/CFT requirements.
  • Draft, update, and implement compliance-related policies and procedures to ensure that the Group’s operations meet applicable regulatory standards.
  • Manage the Group’s policy portfolio, coordinating with the Compliance Team to establish a structured review process and ensure adherence to internal policies.
  • Conduct internal compliance and control checks across the Group’s licensed operations, identifying gaps, recommending improvements, and reporting findings to the Compliance Team.
  • Collaborate closely with the Legal, Risk, Customer Service, Technology, and Operational Compliance teams to support the implementation of new regulatory requirements.
  • Research, analyse, and communicate information on new or revised laws and regulations that may impact the business.
  • Ensure that all operations within the markets comply with relevant legal frameworks, professional standards, and best practices.
  • Manage timely regulatory reporting, submissions, and filings to authorities in each market, ensuring compliance with all notification and documentation requirements.

Requirements

  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Compliance or a related regulatory role.
  • Strong ability to interpret, understand, and communicate regulatory requirements.
  • Capable of working independently, taking ownership of tasks and projects through to completion.
  • Highly responsible and trustworthy, with a strong sense of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Experience working across multiple regulated markets, particularly the MGA and Swedish jurisdictions.
  • Knowledge of the German language will be considered an asset.
