Brightwater Paediatrics is looking for a warm, organised and professional Medical Receptionist to join our friendly clinic in Mountain Creek on the Sunshine Coast.

About the Role
As the first point of contact for families, you will play a key role in ensuring our clinic runs smoothly and patients feel welcomed and supported from the moment they arrive.
This role combines reception, administration and patient coordination within a supportive and collaborative team environment.
Permanent part-time hours (30 hours per week) are spread across 4–5 days, with some flexibility to suit the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
• Welcoming children and families and creating a calm, friendly clinic environment
• Managing appointment bookings, confirmations and schedule changes
• Answering phone and email enquiries in a professional and helpful manner
• Maintaining accurate patient records and data entry
• Processing payments and assisting with billing and Medicare administration
• Coordinating referrals and correspondence with doctors and hospitals
• Supporting clinicians and the administration team with day-to-day clinic operations
About You
We’re looking for someone who is kind, organised and enjoys creating a welcoming and supportive experience for children and their families.
You will ideally have:
• 5 years’ experience in a reception or administration role (medical experience highly regarded)
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong organisational skills, ability to confidently multitask with strong attention to detail
• Confidence using computers and practice management systems (Xestro system experience preferred but not essential)
• A calm and professional approach in a busy clinical environment
• A caring, patient-focused attitude
