We´re looking for

A Programme Manager to join the Data Science Office at our Spanish headquarter, in Marbella, Spain.

The Programme Manager is a strategic and operational role within the Data Science Office, responsible for ensuring alignment, execution and visibility across a portfolio of research, product and commercial initiatives. Reporting to the Chief Data Science Officer (CDSO), the role acts as a central coordination point, enabling effective prioritization, structured delivery and clear communication across stakeholders.

The position operates at the intersection of data science and business functions, supporting both long-term research efforts and short-cycle commercial deliverables.

The ability to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally is a must. Knowledge of Spanish is not a business requirement.

European Union’s legal working status is required.

Key Responsabilities

Programme Delivery & Execution

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of multiple Data Science initiatives, from planning through execution

  • Manage priorities, dependencies, risks, and timelines across concurrent projects

  • Translate strategic objectives into clear, actionable plans and quarterly deliverables

Planning, Governance & Reporting

  • Own programme governance and reporting, providing regular updates to leadership on progress, risks, and performance

  • Ensure alignment between Data Science initiatives and broader business priorities

  • Maintain clear visibility of all ongoing, planned, and deprioritized work

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Act as the primary interface between Data Science and teams such as Product, Engineering, and Commercial

  • Manage inbound requests and prioritize work in line with capacity and strategic goals

  • Facilitate effective communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders

Operational Excellence & Impact

  • Design and continuously improve scalable, lightweight processes tailored to Data Science workflows

  • Standardize tools and best practices (e.g. Jira, Confluence)

  • Support clear articulation of Data Science outputs and their business value

Desired Skills

  • Strong understanding of programme and project management methodologies and frameworks

  • Ability to translate company strategic goals into structured execution plans

  • Experience with resource planning and capacity management

  • Understand interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs

  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence)

  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving capabilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including execution level reporting

  • Ability to operate effectively in environments with ambiguity and evolving priorities


Experience

  • Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional programmes in technology, data or related environments

  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycles and Agile methodologies

  • Proven ability to collaborate across diverse, multi-disciplinary teams

  • Experience establishing processes, governance frameworks and operational standards

  • Ability to identify key success factors and risks across complex initiatives

  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across different organizational levels

  • Familiarity with data science, AI, or quantitative domains, enough to push back credibly on scope and timelines.
