Senior Commissioning Rotating Equipment Superintendent South Korea
Job Overview
ISS International S.p.A. is looking for a (Senior) Commissioning Rotating Equipment Superintendent to support a major Oil & Gas project in South Korea.
The role focuses on supervising rotating equipment construction and commissioning activities, ensuring technical integrity, coordination with contractors and suppliers, and full compliance with project specifications, safety standards and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure proper execution of all rotating equipment construction and pre-commissioning activities
• Provide timely and accurate construction progress reporting, including cost-control data
• Guarantee the technical integrity of rotating equipment works and enforce applicable HSE procedures and standards
• Coordinate activities between the construction contractor and vendors
• Ensure proper material control and management during construction
• Verify that preservation activities on rotating equipment are correctly performed by the contractor
• Certify work progress and quantities on a daily/weekly/monthly basis
• Monitor construction activities against project schedule and budget, identifying deviations and proposing corrective actions
• Verify construction works compliance with contractual scope, project specifications and procedures
• Coordinate interfaces between Vendors and the Construction Contractor
• Lead the rotating equipment supervision team and support inspections, audits and site visits by the Client or third parties
Requirements:
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry
• At least 5 years as Construction Superintendent/Coordinator
• Minimum 5 years of specific experience with rotating equipment
• Basic understanding of process systems, plant automation systems, power generation systems and welding engineering
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, inspection and testing techniques
• Good understanding of QA/QC systems applied to construction
• Strong knowledge of HSE requirements and implementation of safety standards
• Proficiency in MS Office
Project Details:
• Job Location: South Korea – onshore industrial site
• Project Scope: Rotating equipment construction, preservation, pre-commissioning and coordination activities
• Work Schedule: 10 hours/day – 6 days/week
• Start Date: January 2026
• End Date: March 2026
• Duration: Approx. 3 months
