Job Overview

Harnest, part of the Mazzei Group, is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the delivery of our new Building Homes for Benalla (BHB) Project - a $21 million medium-density community comprising 48 new homes, civil works and public open space.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of a socially impactful regional project, managing all on-site activities from early civil works through to final handover.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee the construction delivery of a 48-home medium-density community under an AS D&C Government Contract

  • Manage civil works, services coordination, public-realm interfaces and staging across the development

  • Drive program, budget and quality outcomes in line with social-procurement and compliance standards

  • Lead and mentor site teams and subcontractors, maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality and teamwork

  • Conduct daily site coordination meetings, inspections, inductions and reporting

  • Collaborate with Project Managers, consultants and client representatives to support clear communication and milestone delivery

What You’ll Bring

  • 5–10+ years’ experience delivering multi-unit residential, townhouse or community housing projects

  • Proven ability to manage regional sites, civil interfaces and multiple stakeholders

  • Strong knowledge of the BCA, Australian Standards, OH&S requirements and local authority processes

  • A trade background or Cert IV/Diploma in Construction Management

  • Solid reporting and scheduling capability using Microsoft Project, Procore or similar platforms
