ABOUT THE ROLE
Job Summary:
Responsible to provide efficient and consistent way of executing quality assurance activities of different products produced in the company and support in the overall activities of the department and perform lab activities in the company such as to conduct quality tests of the products and processes, supervise inspection checks, maintain and calibrate test equipment, and communicate test results.
Responsibilities:
Receiving, testing, analyzing, recording and reporting results of the lab test for passports accordance with ISO 18745-1.
Determining and performing tests needed for the analysis and report.
Organizing and storing samples in accordance with all safety and other requirements to ensure the safety of personnel and integrity of the sample
Cleaning and maintaining lab equipment, including recalibration of equipment.
Maintaining equipment records and daily work logs.
Cooperates and works with production sections on day-to-day basis
Performs quality inspections of products manufactured during the different production process cycle according to the defined quality standard.
Comply with ISO procedures and standards
Online production inspection at several stages and at set intervals within each stage of production (passport assembling, passport numbering and laser perforation etc.)
Issues approval on startup of job and ensures that the result remains standard throughout production
Approves/rejects jobs during testing and escalated issues according to the department manager and production teams.
Raise any deviation or non-conformity, to the process owner, register and log in to the tracker system.
Test new samples or new process based on ISO and internal standard requirement and provide detailed test reports with conclusion and findings
Maintaining lab neat and tidy and its testing equipment
About You
Qualification and Experience
Diploma in Lab Technician or related field from a recognized institution.
A minimum of 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
A ‘COC’ certification is a plus.

The placement date for the position shall be effective March 2026GC.
Location – TSE Factory, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
