Web Developer / Graphic Designer

We are seeking a talented, passionate, and versatile Web Developer / Graphic Designer to join our growing Marketing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of web development principles and graphic design, with a proven ability to create visually appealing and highly functional websites. A key aspect of this role will be the ability to seamlessly integrate websites with the Shopify platform, ensuring a robust and user-friendly e-commerce experience.

Key Responsibilities

● Design and develop responsive and engaging websites, ensuring cross-browser compatibility and optimal performance.

● Translate design mockups and wireframes into high-quality code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

● Integrate websites fully with the Shopify platform, including theme customization, app integration, and payment gateway setup.

● Create compelling visual assets, including graphics, icons, and layouts, for web and digital platforms.

● Collaborate with marketing and content teams to ensure brand consistency and effective visual communication.

● Optimize website for speed and scalability, and work closely with the Digital Marketing Specialist to establish and execute SEO best practices within our digital assets.

● Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to website functionality and Shopify

integration.

● Stay up-to-date with the latest web development trends, design tools, and Shopify updates.

● Provide quality control over own work

● Perform other duties as assigned and require

Required Skills and Qualifications
● 5+ years proven experience as a Web Developer and Graphic Designer.
● Strong portfolio showcasing web development and graphic design projects.
● Extensive experience working with popular website platforms including Wordpress, Elementor, and Squarespace
● Demonstrable experience with Shopify platform integration, including theme development and customization.
● Expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive web design.
● Strong knowledge and practical experience with SEO strategies that improve organic search visibility, rankings, and website traffic.
● Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Figma).
● Understanding of and experience in applying best practice UI/UX principles.
● Knowledge of and practical experience leveraging AI tools such as ChatGPT and Google Gemini to augment, enhance, or improve deliverables
● Detail-oriented with strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree or advanced training in Website Development, Graphic Design, Marketing or a related field
● Video production and/or animation experience
