Weeroona Association is seeking an experienced and values-driven Support Services Supervisor to provide operational leadership across two key service streams:
• Direct Support Services
• Support Coordination Services
This is a senior operational role reporting directly to the CEO, responsible for ensuring quality service delivery, workforce leadership, compliance, and ethical practice, while maintaining clear separation between service streams to uphold participant choice and manage risk.

About the Role
We are entering a new phase of operational maturity and sustainability, and are seeking a strong leader to support this evolution. You will provide day-to-day operational leadership across:
Direct Support Services
• 1:1 supports
• Group-based supports
• Short Term Accommodation (STA)
• Community access and capacity-building programs
• Project-based supports
You will supervise a team of approximately X staff across both service streams, including Facilitators, Team Leaders and Support Workers, ensuring services are delivered safely, ethically, and in alignment with participant plans and NDIS requirements.
Support Coordination Services
• Support Coordination
• Specialist Support Coordination (where applicable)
You will oversee Support Coordinators to ensure participant choice and control remain central, and that conflicts of interest are actively managed and documented.
This role requires strong operational oversight, compliance knowledge, financial awareness, and the ability to manage complexity across multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide operational leadership across both service streams
• Supervise and support team leaders and frontline staff
• Monitor service quality, rostering, workforce capacity and continuity
• Ensure compliance with NDIS Practice Standards and safeguarding requirements
• Oversee incident reporting and risk management processes
• Maintain clear separation between Direct Support and Support Coordination
• Ensure conflict of interest processes are embedded and transparent
• Monitor service-level financial performance and escalate risks to the CEO
• Support recruitment, onboarding and staff development
• Contribute to a positive, ethical and accountable organisational culture
About You
You are a confident and ethical leader who understands the operational realities of disability services and the importance of participant rights.
You will bring:
• 3–5 years supervisory experience in disability or community services
• Demonstrated operational leadership across multidisciplinary teams
• Strong knowledge of NDIS funding and compliance requirements
• Experience managing incidents, safeguarding and regulatory obligations
• Financial monitoring and workforce planning capability
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A commitment to ethical, person-centred practice
This is an office-based role in our Gympie office, with some engagement in community, and flexibility upon negotiation.
Mandatory Requirements
• Current Driver Licence
• Current First Aid & CPR
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
• Current Blue Card
• Relevant qualification in Social Work, Human Services, Community Development, Business or similar discipline
