About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Uppsala focused on developing high-precision mechanical components for chromatography columns and related instrumentation. In this role, you will take designs from early concepts through to industrialized, production-ready solutions. The work spans multiple manufacturing technologies, including injection molding, machining, and welded sheet metal, composite structures, and both metal and polymer-based 3D printing.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, refine, and evaluate mechanical design concepts
Ensure designs are suitable for serial production and manufacturability
Work with complex, high-precision components used in Life Science systems
Collaborate closely with suppliers and support technical discussions (including occasional travel
within Sweden)
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Minimum 7+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering
Strong experience with injection-molded part design
Proficiency in Creo (CAD)
Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
100% onsite Uppsala
