About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Uppsala focused on developing high-precision mechanical components for chromatography columns and related instrumentation. In this role, you will take designs from early concepts through to industrialized, production-ready solutions. The work spans multiple manufacturing technologies, including injection molding, machining, and welded sheet metal, composite structures, and both metal and polymer-based 3D printing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, refine, and evaluate mechanical design concepts

  • Ensure designs are suitable for serial production and manufacturability

  • Work with complex, high-precision components used in Life Science systems

  • Collaborate closely with suppliers and support technical discussions (including occasional travel

  • within Sweden)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering

  • Strong experience with injection-molded part design

  • Proficiency in Creo (CAD)

  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

  • 100% onsite Uppsala
