The People and Culture team supports the organisation through strategic workforce management, operational excellence, and a commitment to delivering a positive employee experience. We partner with leaders and staff to ensure our systems, processes and culture enable the delivery of courageous, high quality community health services.
About the role
The Workforce Operations & Systems Specialist is a key technical specialist within People and Culture. This role designs and maintains HR processes to ensure best-practice employee experience and organisational compliance at every stage of the employee lifecycle.
It is responsible for the administration, configuration and continuous improvement of NRCH’s workforce systems including HRIS and workforce management (rostering, timesheets and time-in-attendance) and payroll platforms; ensuring that systems are accurate, compliant, efficient and fit for purpose. The role leads major system projects and data initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
Designing and maintaining workflows and processes including onboarding, development, leave management, remuneration reviews and separation.
Leading workforce data reporting and analytics to inform decision making
Acting as system administrator and subject matter expert across payroll, HRIS and workforce management systems
Managing system configuration, testing and documentation to ensure compliance, data integrity and operational efficiency
Supporting payroll administration and acting as a key liaison between Managers, Finance and Payroll
Supporting system upgrades, payroll implementations and data migration projects
Partnering with IT to ensure the security and confidentiality of people data
Providing support to People and Culture initiatives and generalist HR processes

About you
You are a detail oriented and systems savvy professional who thrives in complex workforce environments and understands the critical link between accurate systems, compliant payroll and a positive employee experience.
You will bring:
Relevant qualifications in Business, Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent experience
Demonstrated experience in, and knowledge of, HRIS, Workforce management and payroll systems and processing
Strong understanding of Enterprise Bargaining Agreements and award interpretation within a healthcare, public or community sector environment
Proven experience in process mapping, workflow improvement and system optimisation
Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build trusted partnerships
Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
A high level of capability in extraction, manipulation and interpretation of workforce data
Strong analytical, reporting and problem-solving capability
Experience with iChris(Chris21) and Humanforce is highly desirable
This position is classified as Management and Administrative Grade 4 under the Victorian Stand-Alone Community Health Services (Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Officers) Multiple Enterprise Agreement 2022-2026.
