Job Summary
The Assistant Design Coordinator supports the delivery of compliant, high quality waterproofing design documentation across a range of commercial and residential projects. This role involves technical knowledge, collaborating with clients and internal teams, and contributing to the development of design solutions. The Assistant Design Coordinator works under the guidance of the senior team members and uses tools such as AutoCAD, BlueBeam Revu and M365 Suite to prepare and review design documentation.
Education/Qualifications
Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or a related field or relevant experience
Knowledge of AS4654.1, AS4858 and the NCC Vol 1 & 2
Skills and Experience
1-2 years of experience in design coordination, project management or waterproofing consultancy
Proficient in AutoCAD and Bluebeam for drafting, markups and design reviews
Strong understanding of Australian waterproofing standards and compliance requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage a varied workload and tasks independently
Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare reports for design and material selection compliance
Mark up design documentation and provide technical advice
Drafting and preparation of 2D and 3D CAD Details / Shop Drawings
Create in compliance reports and performance-based design briefs
Effectively use necessary project management software as required
Efficiently maintain timesheets to track independent working
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a professional and collaborative team
